I cannot believe I have made it to 100 posts! I cannot believe it has taken me two years to get to 100, haha. Most of all, I cannot believe that I have been blogging for TWO whole years!

And two years later, I have come to a turning point in this journey. This was my first blog post and it truly started during a moment of courage. Courage that was born out of hope, you can read all about my thoughts on hope here. As you know by now, my blog is called Harvesting Hope.
I see hope as a tangible thing that one can receive, experience and exercise in daily life. My idea of this type of harvest comes from the fact that I was turned away from darkness in order to walk in righteousness.
Life was catapulted by the force of hope when I was desperate and lonely on the road to nowhere good (college drop-out, jobless, single and pregnant).
Experiencing hope forged in me an identity change: one, as an adopted child of the Good Father and two, as a mother. God made me a new creation and I gave my new creation a name: Mama X (or Mama Equis, the phonetic spelling that became my website).
Now, I am still grateful for Mama X. When I say that, I mean I am grateful that I had a way to express myself. I was no longer tied to the old me. The new me was able to complete a Bachelor’s degree, find community at church and undergo emotional restoration. That is what made writing a blog possible and a passion for me! I wanted to share this amazing love and this harvest of hope.
For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
…
Isaiah 43:19
I will always be the hopeful Mama X.
However, there have been times I felt discouraged because I was reaching no one. Other times I was just writing to write something. And I don’t want to be Mama X the blogger who blogs for the sake of blogging. I still want to share the harvest.
That’s why I have decided not to use this name as the website (i.e. the brand).
I am changing my website. I am changing my “brand” to shift focus.
Which means, I get to do something new and exciting! Again, lots of hope coming into play. We get to play with change.
My website name will now be thehopemadewoman.com. Slowly, this website and blog will morph into something different. It will look, read and feel different. This is no longer about me! This is about a community of faithful women who want to experience hope in a way that revolutionizes their lives.
This is the place for HOPEMADE Women.

Thank you for reading my thoughts all this time, for sharing your views with me and for embracing the transitions that are to come. We are going to have so much fun!
With love,
Mama X
