Well, Jesus set me free from those dark powers so I celebrate independence in all its forms. I respect the spirit that breaks chains. And I am free to do what I love!
Like cook! Chilli is an American staple. I had never made it before until yesterday. Well, it was delicious and I am pretty sad there aren’t any leftovers. But that means I have to cook up another Americana dish today, but I need some inspiration?

I am sharing a rough ingredient list because cooking is so particular, we should all season to our own tastes. Plus, I never follow recipes to the T (unless I’m baking).
Meat + Veggie Chili
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 16 oz. beef stock
- 1 can of black beans
- 1 Spanish onion
- 2 green onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp tomato sauce
- 3 carrots
- 1 medium sized bell pepper (I used half green pepper, half red pepper)
- 1 small zucchini
- 1 small yellow squash
Herbs + Seasonings
- Red pepper flakes
- Cayenne pepper
- Garlic powder
- 2 TBSP arrowroot powder (for thickening)
- Cook stove top in a pot over medium heat for at least an hour!
